About Me

I am a software developer who loves building new things, continuously learning my craft, and good design. I also have an interest in 3D printing and dabbling in robotics, electronics and embedded systems when time allows.

I have worked several different platforms, including .NET, Python, and PHP, and have developed a variety of different types of software, often focusing on full-stack web development, but also back-end services, desktop applications and more.

I am currently employed as Director of Software Development & Communication at The Sixth Form College Farnborough where my focus is on developing and improving the wide variety of in-house systems and tools which support outstanding teaching and learning. Before starting a career in software development, I studied for a BSc (Hons) Computing at Bournemouth University, graduating in 2009.

Away from the computer, I enjoy looking after a growing number of houseplants and attempting to grow herbs and vegetables in the garden, with varying degrees of success. I'm focused on moving to a more eco-friendly, sustainable and minimalist lifestyle where I can. I also enjoy travel and seeing more of the world, particularly the natural world.
